Last Man Standing

March 25th, 2009

This market shift has been a test for the real estate industry.  The only person I know who has made a lot of money in the real estate industry lately is a day trader,  he traded short every thing real estate related.  For all of lay people that means he bet the farm that real estate related stocks would fall, they did and he made a killing.  For the rest of us this has been a war of attrition but there is something about being the last man standing. Foreclosure Market Could Be Chance Of A Lifetime

March 13th, 2009

I love market psychology.  When things are going up everyone is euphoric.  Real estate was cocktail hour chatter.  Everyday people spoke like they were Donald Trump.  The urge to get in was strong and the greed that came with the bull market was infectious. But… now real estate is like a cancer, and the psychology has swung completely the other direction.  But could this be the chance of a lifetime? Read the rest of this entry »
